Richard
Prideaux

Field guide, writer and podcast host.

About

I write and talk about the British countryside as it is lived and worked.

More about Richard →

My work covers wildlife, wild food, land use, rural culture and the arguments over what the land is for. I also lead walks and field sessions that help people understand the connections between geology, weather, ecology, work and human history.

I came to writing by an indirect route, through outdoor instruction, mountain leadership, training and work with film and television productions.
